George Pickens A Low-End WR2 In Week 4
7 mins agoPittsburgh Steelers wide receiver George Pickens will be facing the Houston Texans in Week 4. After teammate Diontae Johnson (hamstring) went down in Week 1, it was thought that the Steelers' pass game would revolve around Pickens. Pickens did have a productive Week 2, with 127 receiving yards and a touchdown, but that line came on just four receptions. The second-year wideout had another four catches in Week 3 for 75 yards. The Texans have yet to allow a wide receiver to cross the 100-yard mark this season, and through the first three weeks have given up just one touchdown to the position. Pickens should be in starting lineups in Week 4 due to his role as Pittsburgh's top pass catcher, and he should put up WR2/3 numbers against Houston.Source: NFL.com
Kenny Pickett Looks To Keep Things Rolling Against Texans
23 mins agoQuarterback Kenny Pickett and the Pittsburgh Steelers head to Houston in Week 4 to take on the Texans. In the first three weeks of the 2023 season, Pickett is averaging 229.7 passing yards per game and is completing just under 60% of his passes. After a couple of tough matchups to start the season against the 49ers and Browns, Pickett drew a softer matchup against the Raiders in Week 3, but could still only manage a season-high 235 yards against them. The Texans' defense has not performed well this season but has still limited opposing quarterbacks to 228 passing yards per game and has allowed only two passing touchdowns so far. Pickett is not relevant for fantasy purposes in Week 4.Source: NFL.com
Jamal Adams Expected To Return In Week 4
41 mins agoSeattle Seahawks safety Jamal Adams (quad) is expected to make his return to the playing field when the team takes on the New York Giants in Week 4. The Monday night showdown will be Adams' first game since suffering a tear in his quadriceps in 2022's season opener. The veteran's return to the field will be a boon for Seattle's defense. In 2023 the Seahawks' rush defense is holding their own, but their pass defense ranks 23rd in DVOA. If Seattle chooses to play it safe against the lowly Giants' offense, Adams should be back after the Seahawks return from their Week 5 bye.Source: Mike Dugar - The Athletic
Titans Defense Off Week 4 Fantasy Radar
1 hour agoThe Tennessee Titans' defense continues to have issues in its secondary, meaning a matchup with Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals is worrisome. Although Burrow (calf) is banged up and has limited mobility, Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins should have no issue getting open quickly. The Titans have posted ten sacks this season and could rack up plenty more against the mediocre Cincinnati offensive line, but there are simply much better options this week in the fantasy D/ST slot.Source: StatMuse.com
Nick Folk A Risky Streamer Against Bengals
2 hours agoTennessee Titans kicker Nick Folk has made all eight of his field goal attempts this season and was beginning to enter the fantasy radar. However, Tennessee's offense scored just three total points in Week 3, proving Folk's floor is low as a part of a low-scoring team. He has plenty of upside if Ryan Tannehill, Derrick Henry, DeAndre Hopkins, and company can turn things around, but until then, there are likely better streaming options available. When teams start to go on bye weeks, he might become a more interesting fantasy asset. Stay away from him in Week 4 against the Cincinnati Bengals.Source: ESPN
Chigoziem Okonkwo Has Low Floor Despite Favorable Week 4 Matchup
2 hours agoTennessee Titans tight end Chigoziem Okonkwo has brought in just seven passes for 42 yards through his first three games of 2023. He ranks 30th among all tight ends in targets (10) and has failed to make an impact. This was always a concern after the team added DeAndre Hopkins, and it is becoming a reality. Even though the Cincinnati Bengals have allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to tight ends thus far, the second-year player out of Maryland should not be on the fantasy radar except in the deepest of tight end premium leagues. The Tennessee offense could be embarrassed once again in Week 4.Source: Yahoo
Jaylen Waddle Clears Concussion Protocol
2 hours agoMiami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (head) has cleared the league's concussion protocol. It shouldn't come as too much of a surprise after Waddle was listed as a full practice participant on Wednesday, and he should have the same designation on Thursday as he looks to return this Sunday in a big showdown against the division-rival Buffalo Bills. Waddle took a shot to the head in Week 2 and didn't play in the Week 3 shellacking of the Denver Broncos due to his concussion. The 24-year-old has caught eight of his 11 targets for 164 yards in two games played so far in 2023. Despite the tough matchup on the road in Buffalo this weekend, Waddle should be returned to all starting lineups.Source: Miami Herald - Daniel Oyefusi
DeAndre Hopkins A Risky Week 4 Option
2 hours agoTennessee Titans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins has hauled in 14 of his 25 targets for 153 yards in his first three games with the organization. The 31-year-old still looks like he has plenty of ability and is No. 11 in the NFL in target share (30.9%), but the Tennessee offense is holding him back. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill has been sacked 13 times (second-most) and has been under pressure often. Ultimately, the Tennessee passing attack looks like one of the worst in the NFL, meaning Hopkins could be at risk of posting duds every week. His overall target volume makes him an interesting fantasy option against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 4, but he's far from bust-proof -- as we've seen over the last two weeks. Hopkins practiced in full early in the week, but he could still carry an injury designation come Friday.Source: PlayerProfiler.com
Saquon Barkley To Do Individual Work Thursday
2 hours agoNew York Giants head coach Brian Daboll said that running back Saquon Barkley (ankle) will be on the practice field on Thursday to do individual work to see how he's moving. Barkley suffered a high-ankle sprain to his right ankle in Week 2 and didn't play last Thursday night on a short week. The Giants aren't ruling him out for this Monday night against the Seattle Seahawks, but the most likely scenario is that he's held out again, making him an extremely risky fantasy option in Week 4. If the 26-year-old misses a second straight game, expect the Giants to once again mix and match in their backfield with Matt Breida, Gary Brightwell and rookie Eric Gray. It's a situation to avoid in most fantasy leagues.Source: New York Daily News - Pat Leonard
Derrick Henry Has Low Floor Against Bengals
2 hours agoTennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry rushed 11 times for just 20 yards against the Cleveland Browns last week. The team's offensive line was dominated by the Browns' defensive line, and he never got anything going. The former rushing champion has been out-snapped by Tyjae Spears in two of his three games thus far, and his floor is as low as it has been in his career. The Bengals have allowed the eighth-fewest fantasy points to running backs through three weeks, so Henry could be at risk of posting another dud performance. All that said, he's still a must-start for now, especially since fantasy managers selected him early in drafts. If the Titans can reach the red zone, he will continue to have command of the goal line role. His weekly performances are worth monitoring closely moving forward.Source: Yahoo
Ryan Tannehill Not On Fantasy Radar in Week 4
2 hours agoTennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill has completed just 59% of his passes for 548 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions so far this season. Last week, the 35-year-old was limited to just 104 passing yards and 4.2 yards per attempt. After abysmal showings in Week 1 and Week 3, he does not have any fantasy football intrigue in single-quarterback formats. The passing offense has struggled to get going, despite the addition of DeAndre Hopkins. It's worth noting that Treylon Burks (knee) is banged up heading into the matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals. Until further notice, Tannehill is merely a low-end superflex starter.Source: ESPN
Bills Defense Has Been Very Effective
3 hours agoThrough three weeks, the Buffalo Bills defense ranks first in opposing passer rating, second in points allowed per game and total yards allowed, and third in passing yards per game. They lead the league with nine takeaways and have proved to be an opportunistic unit. And they've done it all without All-Pro pass-rusher Von Miller (knee), who is on Injured Reserve. However, they'll be facing a Miami Dolphins offense in Week 4 on Sunday that ranks first in the NFL in points, total yards, passing yards and passer rating. Seven different Bills defenders have registered at least one sack this year, tying for the most in the NFL, and they are tied for second as a defense with 12 QB takedowns. Buffalo's defense has been awesome so far, but fantasy managers may want to fade them in starting lineups this week.Source: NFL.com - Nick Shook
Taylor Decker Expected To Play Against Packers
4 hours agoDetroit Lions offensive tackle Taylor Decker (ankle), who is listed as questionable for the Thursday night divisional showdown against the Green Bay Packers, is expected to play. Meanwhile, cornerback Emmanuel Moseley (hamstring, knee), who is also questionable, is not expected to play. Decker has missed the team's last two games, but it looks as though the 29-year-old will be returning in Week 4 for the Lions' offensive line after he was limited in practice all week. Halapoulivaati Vaitai (knee) has been ruled out, so Decker's return will be welcomed news for the Lions offense as they look to win a crucial early season divisional matchup with the 2-1 Packers.Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero
Gus Edwards No Longer In Concussion Protocol
4 hours agoBaltimore Ravens running back Gus Edwards (concussion) cleared the league's concussion protocol and was able to practice in full on Wednesday, according to head coach John Harbaugh. Unless Edwards has a setback on Thursday or Friday, he'll be cleared to play in Week 4 in Cleveland against the Browns. Justice Hill (toe) missed another practice and could miss his second straight game this Sunday while dealing with turf toe, so Edwards should be Baltimore's clear lead back this weekend. In the Week 3 overtime loss to the Indianapolis Colts, the 28-year-old Edwards had 11 carries for 51 yards. Melvin Gordon III will also have a role in this backfield if Hill misses another game, but Edwards will have the most fantasy upside.Source: BaltimoreRavens.com - Ryan Mink
Derek Carr Not Putting A Timetable On His Return
4 hours agoNew Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr (shoulder) is considered week-to-week with a sprained AC joint that he suffered in the Week 3 loss to the Green Bay Packers. He was unable to practice on Wednesday and said that he won't return until he's capable of performing at his expected level. "If I physically just can't play, then I can't play. But if I'm out there, that means I'm, you know, there's no fear of re-injury, there's no fear of this, there's no fear of being able to help the football team. And so, I'm going to do everything I can to be out there but never hurt the team at the same time," Carr said. Carr isn't expected to play in Week 4 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, with Jameis Winston fully expected to make his first start of the season after relieving Carr last Sunday.Source: NFL.com - Nick Shook
