Los Angeles Angels shortstop Zach Neto blasted an eighth-inning home run on Thursday evening off of Chase Shugart to give the Angels a 4-3 lead and help them salvage a win in their three-game series against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The home run was Neto's second of the season, as he was just activated off the injured list on April 18. On the evening, Neto went 3-for-5 and raised his average to .238. The young shortstop is off to a nice start to the season, slashing .238/.273/.619 with two home runs, four RBI, and four runs scored in 22 plate appearances. Last season, Neto had a significant increase in power, hitting 23 home runs compared to his nine in 2023, so he will look to keep that rolling in this year and is off to a good start with a few home runs in his first week back. Next up for the Angels is a road test against the Minnesota Twins. Neto will look to keep things rolling.--Nicho Roessler
