Houston Astros first baseman Yuli Gurriel was placed on the paternity list on Friday. He missed each of the team's last three games, but he is expected to be back in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. The team optioned fellow first baseman Joe Perez to Double-A after Sunday's game to clear a roster spot for Gurriel. The 37-year-old Gurriel started on Opening Day and went 1-for-4 with a double. He's a strong source of batting average help as he's a career .293 hitter and he hit .319 last season. He should also have sturdy runs and RBI totals this year.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
