Boston Red Sox pitching prospect Yordanny Monegro tallied nine punchouts across four one-run innings on Wednesday. Monegro's lone run was unearned. He allowed four hits and did not serve a free pass. This was another strong outing for the 22-year-old as he logged three 1/3 innings of one-run ball in his first start of the campaign. In this outing, he struck out six with just one walk. Last summer, Monegro spent most of his campaign with High-A Greenville and logged 66 innings to the tune of a 2.73 ERA with a 1.03 WHIP. Monegro has already begun to take the next step at Double-A and is flashing elite strikeout upside. He is worth monitoring as he looks to push for a late-season Triple-A debut.--Andy Smith
