Yordan Alvarez Busts Slump With Two-Run Blast
3 years agoHouston Astros designated hitter Yordan Alvarez went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run in the Astros 4-3 win over the Indians. Alvarez came into the contest stuck in a 0-for-19 rut at the plate but popped a double and then smoked his 17th home run of the season in the fifth inning. After two hot games to start the month of July, Alvarez has cooled off significantly. Fantasy teams can hope that a performance like this is a precursor for more power production moving forward.
