Colorado Rockies outfield prospect Yanquiel Fernandez went 3-for-6 with two home runs, four RBI, and two runs scored on Wednesday for Triple-A Albuquerque. The two home runs put him atop the minor-league leaderboard with a total of seven home runs, tied with the Athletics' Nick Kurtz, who is now in the major leagues. Fernandez has come alive over the last three games, going 7-for-13 (.538) with a double, four home runs, seven RBI, and five runs scored over that stretch. The 22-year-old owns a .254/.325/.592 slash line through 19 games, and with the Rockies currently with the worst record in baseball while averaging the third-lowest runs per game output, expect the team to see what they have in their sixth-ranked prospect at the major league level at some point this season, perhaps sooner than later if he continues to rake. The left-handed slugger has big power that should play well at Coors, so fantasy managers should take notice whenever he gets the call. --Jarod Rupp
