Willy Adames Plays Four Innings In Rehab Game
3 years agoIn his return in the minor leagues on his rehab assignment for Triple-A Nashville on Thursday, Milwaukee Brewers shortstop Willy Adames (ankle, quadriceps) went 1-for-3 and played four innings at shortstop. Adames initially went on the injured list with an ankle injury, but he missed the previous two games in Nashville due to quadriceps soreness. As long as the Brewers are comfortable with both of his injuries, Adames could be activated in time for the weekend series against the San Diego Padres. His return will push Luis Urias back to the hot corner and Jace Peterson back to a utility role for Milwaukee. The 26-year-old is hitting just .208 this year with a .304 on-base percentage, but his power (nine home runs and 24 RBI) plays in fantasy.
