Van Jefferson Expected To Have Normal Workload
2 years agoLos Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay said the team will monitor wide receiver Van Jefferson (knee) in his season debut in Week 8 against the division-rival San Francisco 49ers, but McVay expects Jefferson to have a normal workload. Jefferson is getting a late start to the season due to knee surgery, but he could immediately surpass Allen Robinson II in snaps and targets behind All-Pro Cooper Kupp in the Rams' passing attack. For that reason alone, the 26-year-old needs to be scooped up in fantasy leagues where he remains available on the waiver wire. Jefferson managed 50 receptions on 89 targets for 802 yards and six touchdowns in 17 starts during the regular season in 2021 in his second year in the league. It'll be a much bigger risk playing Jefferson as a flex in his first game back, but he could become a solid starter in short time.
