The Minnesota Twins acquired infielder Jonah Bride from the Miami Marlins on Wednesday in exchange for cash considerations, according to The Athletic's Dan Hayes. Bride was just designated for assignment by Miami on Tuesday, but it didn't take long for another team to come calling for his services. The Twins are placing outfielder Matt Wallner (hamstring) on the injured list, while shortstop Carlos Correa (wrist) and utility man Willi Castro (oblique) were both injured the last two days as well. The 29-year-old Bride will provide some much-needed position-player depth for the Twins for the time being, although it won't guarantee him regular at-bats with his new organization. Bride did hit .276 (64-for-232) with a career-high 11 homers and 39 RBI in 71 games in 2024 for Miami, but he started 2025 going 4-for-40 (.100) with five walks and 15 strikeouts in 12 games.--Keith Hernandez
