Trey McBride 2024 Outlook: From Obscurity To Elite Tight End
7 months agoAfter a disappointing rookie year, Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride burst onto the scene in 2023. He posted 825 receiving yards on 81 receptions to go along with three touchdowns. This was good for a TE7 finish in PPR leagues. McBride's 2023 is even more impressive when you consider he didn't play more than 60% of snaps in a game until Week 8. From that point on, he was the PPR TE4 in fantasy points per game. Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray was also absent from the lineup for the team's first nine games. Once he returned, the duo formed a strong connection. It should only continue to grow moving forward. The club did add receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. with the fourth overall pick in April's draft. However, McBride should remain one of the focal points of the offense. We've seen tight ends produce next to elite wide receivers before. Travis Kelce with Tyreek Hill and Sam LaPorta with Amon-Ra St. Brown come to mind. Fantasy gamers can confidently select McBride as one of the first tight ends off the board in all formats.
