Trey Burton Catches Two Passes In Season Debut
5 years agoChicago Bears tight end Trey Burton caught only two passes for five yards in the Bears gritty, come-from-behind win over the Broncos 16-14. Burton has missed most of training camp plus the first game of the season recovering from sports hernia surgery and a groin injury. Burton did not fill up the box score, but his presence in the running game was felt. The threat of Burton on the field also opened up some easier throws for quarterback Mitch Trubisky. Health will be key moving forward but Burton should be able to produce more than five yards in upcoming games.
