5/31:Pittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Trevor Williams allowed five runs on nine hits in five innings against the St. Louis Cardinals on Thursday while taking a no-decision. The first inning doomed Williams, as he gave up four runs and nearly allowed the Cardinals to bat around. It was the third consecutive subpar outing for Williams, who struck out four and walked two on the day. The right-hander has now allowed 13 runs over his last 15 innings and three starts, seeing his ERA rise to 3.84. With his well below-average strikeout and ground-ball rates, Williams was due for regression and that seems to have come. His value outside of NL-only leagues was limited to begin with, and he's approaching droppable territory in most formats. He'll try to turn his fortunes around against the Los Angeles Dodgers at home next Wednesday.--Matt Wilkes
