Trevor Rogers Shines Again On Wednesday
4 years agoMiami Marlins rookie starting pitcher Trevor Rogers was excellent again in Wednesday's win over the Philadelphia Phillies. Rogers threw 7 2/3 innings, allowing just one run on five hits and two walks while striking out eight. The only blemish was a solo home run off the bat of Andrew McCutchen in the sixth inning. Rogers improved to 6-2 and has a sparkling 1.74 ERA. If he keeps this up, he could be in the running for both the Rookie of the Year and the Cy Young Award.
