Trevor Lawrence 2024 Outlook: Ready to Live Up to High Expectations
7 months agoJacksonville Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft and considered by many to be a "generational talent." After a brutal rookie year, Lawrence has been close to a middle-of-the-road QB for fantasy in 2022 and 2023 with 8,130 yards passing to go with 46 TDs and 22 INTs. Lawrence lost his second-highest target from 2023 after WR Calvin Ridley signed with rival Tennessee, but Jacksonville drafted LSU WR Brian Thomas Jr. with pick No. 23 overall in the 2024 NFL Draft. With RB Travis Etienne, WR Christian Kirk, newly-signed WR Gabe Davis, TE Evan Engram, and Thomas Jr, Lawrence has no shortage of weapons around him for 2024. Since coming into the league, Lawrence has averaged 12.7, 17.9, and 17.6 fantasy points per game. He will need to eclipse that 20.0 PPG mark to be considered an elite QB for fantasy purposes in 1QB leagues, but could still provide value in Superflex leagues based on where he's being drafted. Brian Thomas Jr. and Gabe Davis should give this offense a vertical, field-stretching element that they haven't had in the past.
