Baltimore Orioles starting pitcher Tomoyuki Sugano entered this game with the lowest strikeout percentage of any qualified starting pitcher. However, Sugano had his swing-and-miss stuff going during Monday's game against the New York Yankees. The right-hander tossed five shutout innings, allowing five hits, and striking out a career-high eight batters in the win. The 35-year-old has been a viable option posting a 3.00 ERA, 1.15 WHIP, and 17/6 K/BB ratio across six starts this season. His next start will come against the Kansas City Royals at home. Sugano is worth a look as a deep league or AL-only option heading into that game.--Andy Webb
