Tim Anderson 2024 Fantasy Baseball Outlook: Should Rebound In Miami
10 months agoFormer All-Star shortstop Tim Anderson signed a one-year deal with the Miami Marlins for $5 million to become their starter in 2024. Hypothetically, Anderson is trying to rebuild his career. The former White Sox is a two-time batting champion who had a forgettable 2023, hitting .245 with one home run, 25 RBI, and 13 stolen bases over 524 plate appearances. Anderson will get a fresh start in Miami, where he should slot in second behind Luis Arraez. Expect a return to double-digit home runs and steals, although his power numbers have dropped the last two seasons (six in 2022, one in 2023). This should be a volume play, and Anderson is worth a late-round dart throw in many leagues. ATC projects a .276 average with seven home runs and 15 stolen bases. With an NFBC ADP of 337, it will not cost you much to find out if Anderson can be a meaningful fantasy contributor again.
