Texans Working Out Cody Kessler, C.J. Prosise, Ryan Grant
4 years agoThe Houston Texans worked out free-agent quarterback Cody Kessler, running back C.J. Prosise and wide receiver Ryan Grant on Wednesday. Kessler was most recently released by the Patriots. The 27-year-old out of USC was a third-round pick of the Browns in 2016, but he lasted just two seasons there before a quick stop in Jacksonville in 2018. He's thrown for 2,215 yards, eight touchdowns and five interceptions in his 12 career starts. Prosise was also a third-round pick in 2016 by the Seahawks. He just wasn't able to stay healthy in four years in Seattle, never playing in more than nine games in a single season. Grant started his career with the Redskins (four years) before one-year stops in Indianapolis and Oakland the last two years. His best season came in 2017 with Washington when he had 45 receptions for 573 yards and four touchdowns in seven starts.
