Texans Work Out Tim Boyle On Tuesday
12 months agoThe Houston Texans worked out former New York Jets quarterback Tim Boyle on Tuesday after they attempted to claim quarterback Nathan Rourke on Monday. Rookie first-round QB C.J. Stroud (concussion) missed the first game of his career in the Week 15 overtime win over the Tennessee Titans. The Texans are merely looking for added QB insurance behind veteran Case Keenum and Davis Mills. Boyle landed on the free-agent market after the New York Jets cut him loose. The 29-year-old started for the Jets in Weeks 12 and 13 and went 41-for-63 for 327 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions. Boyle is merely searching for a depth role with another organization to close out the 2023 season.
