The Houston Texans agreed to terms with first-round cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. on a four-year, fully guaranteed rookie deal with a fifth-year option on Friday, according to a source. The former LSU cornerback was taken with the third overall pick, and he'll receive a $34.65 million deal that includes a $22.38 million signing bonus. The 20-year-old was a first-team All-American twice, but his final two seasons in college were marred by injuries. Stingley missed most of the 2021 season due to a foot injury, but he has since been cleared and should be ready for his rookie campaign. The addition of Stingley will go a long way in fixing Houston's perennially bad secondary.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
