Taysom Hill Sees Himself As Franchise QB
5 years agoNew Orleans Saints impending restricted free-agent quarterback Taysom Hill views himself as a franchise quarterback. Hill has also worked as a running back, wide receiver and tight end in the Saints offense. He hopes that he can remain in New Orleans, but he also suggested that he's willing to go elsewhere in free agency if the team doesn't want him back. "You have to find the situation to take care of your family. You know, I want to play quarterback in this league, and if New Orleans don't view me that way, well, then I have to leave. So that's really where we're at," Hill said. Head coach Sean Payton may view Hill as a future franchise signal-caller, so Teddy Bridgewater could be the odd man out if Drew Brees comes back for another season. Hill has been valuable to the Saints because of his versatility, but he's very raw as a passer and has very little experience in the NFL under center, so it could be a long shot that he goes elsewhere and becomes a fantasy relevant passer.
