Tank Bigsby 2024 Outlook: Ready for a Role in the Offense as the Team's RB2
6 months agoJacksonville Jaguars rookie RB Tank Bigsby disappointed in his 2023 rookie season. After getting a lot of hype when he was taken in the Third Round (No. 88 overall) of the NFL Draft, the talented RB from Auburn finished with just 50 rush attempts for 132 yards and 2 TDs on top of 1 reception for 6 yards. Starting RB Travis Etienne had a solid 2023, but his efficiency numbers dipped as he averaged just 3.8 yards per carry on 267 attempts and the team badly needs another RB who can shoulder some of the workload. Fellow backup RB D'Ernest Johnson averaged just 2.6 yards per carry last year and many are expecting Bigsby to be the team's primary change of pace back. "We really like Tank and he'll have a bigger impact for us this year," Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said at the NFL Scouting Combine. Despite the lackluster 2023, Bigsby is one of the better handcuff RBs still available at the very end of fantasy drafts.
