Steelers To Start Mason Rudolph In Week 16
12 months agoThe Pittsburgh Steelers will start quarterback Mason Rudolph on Saturday against the division-rival Cincinnati Bengals in Week 16. Mitchell Trubisky will be benched after a second straight poor performance in Week 15's loss to the Indianapolis Colts, and regular starter Kenny Pickett (ankle) is still out due to injury. Rudolph entered in relief of the struggling Trubisky late in the fourth quarter on Saturday and went 2-for-3 for three yards. The 28-year-old will be making his first start of 2023. He's made only 10 starts in the NFL in his four seasons, with eight of them coming in his rookie year in Pittsburgh in 2019. There's no guarantee that Rudolph moves this offense any better than Trubisky did, so fantasy managers can't bank on the QB switch in Pittsburgh being a boost to any of the team's offensive skill players against the Bengals.
