Shed Long Jr. Doubles In Return From IL
4 years agoSeattle Mariners second baseman Shed Long Jr. made his season debut Tuesday night, playing second base and batting sixth against the Detroit Tigers. He went 1-for-4 in the contest with a double and a run scored. Long Jr. stands to receive plenty of playing time in the coming days, at least until Dylan Moore returns from his rehab assignment. Long Jr. has only produced a .678 OPS in 273 career at-bats, but he's hit eight homers and stolen seven bases in that time, a combination which should offer a nice value floor. Fantasy managers in deeper leagues can look to add him.
