Scooter Gennett Taking Batting Practice, Ground Balls
6 years agoCincinnati Reds second baseman Scooter Gennett (groin) is taking batting practice and ground balls on Friday. Gennett has been out all season long and will likely need a lengthy rehab assignment before returning, so he's not exactly close to a return yet. The 29-year-old has hit a combined 40 home runs the last two seasons for the Reds and had a .310/.357/.490 slash line in 153 games last season. Gennett will return to starting second base duties when he's eventually ready to return and should be held in all formats. It's nice to see him ramping up his baseball activities.
