Ryan Blaney recovered from a spin in practice on Saturday morning that caused him to make contact with the wall and left a scratch on the back of his No. 12 Ford. Once qualifying began, his car was good enough to advance to the final round, where his lap of 92.759 mph earned him the eighth pole of his career and second of the season. Blaney self-admittedly doesn't perform as well on road courses, so his best qualifying time was a welcome surprise as he hopes to carry over the performance to Sunday's race.--Nate Duffett
