Los Angeles Dodgers rookie Japanese right-hander Roki Sasaki faced hitters for the first time in camp on Wednesday and threw two innings of live batting practice, recording two strikeouts. Sasaki also surrendered two line-drive hits to Tommy Edman and David Bote. The 23-year-old comes with plenty of fanfare in 2025 as the most-prized international signing of the offseason. He's expected to pitch in the second regular-season game on March 19 in Tokyo, Japan, against the Chicago Cubs and will have immediate fantasy appeal as a low-end No. 2 fantasy starter in his first year in MLB. Sasaki will have the best offense in baseball backing him, but he doesn't come without bust potential given his durability concerns. He has some of the best stuff in the world for a young pitcher, but Sasaki hasn't thrown more than 129 1/3 innings (back in 2022), and the Dodgers will surely keep an eye on his workload.--Keith Hernandez
