Robinson Chirinos Hitting .185 Over Last 10 Games
5 years agoHouston Astros catcher Robinson Chirinos will try and finish up an excellent first half of the season strong when the team opens up a series with the Rockies on Tuesday. Chirinos will start and bat seventh on Tuesday and will try and shake loose from a 5-for-27 (.185) skid over his last 10 games. Chirinos has hits in each of his last three starts with four walks so he appears to be getting back into a rhythm at the plate. The veteran backstop began the month of June with six home runs in his first nine games and has 24 extra-base hits this season through 199 at-bats. Chirinos certainly has value in AL-only leagues and deeper fantasy formats and is slashing .236/.371/.477 from the catching position.
