Robert Gasser Will Make a Rehab Start on Thursday
Robert Gasser (elbow) is continuing his rehab from Tommy John surgery and is scheduled to make a one-inning start for the High-A Wisconsin Timber Rattlers on Thursday. The 26-year-old lefty looked strong in five starts for the Brew Crew last season before undergoing the season-ending procedure in late June. This will be his first rehab outing as he tries to climb back to the majors in time to help the team this season. Depending on how his recovery goes, he could work his way into a limited role, but due to the severity of the injury and how long he's been sidelined, he will likely be brought along slowly and managed carefully. In most leagues, he's just someone to monitor at this point, although he may be worth picking up later in the season.
