Ricky Seals-Jones Ruled Out Against Panthers
3 years agoWashington Football Team tight end Ricky Seals-Jones (hip) is officially out for the Week 11 game against the Carolina Panthers. Logan Thomas (hamstring) remains on Injured Reserve and is unlikely to be activated to return this weekend, so Washington will be down to rookie John Bates and Sammis Reyes at the position against Carolina. Neither backup is much of a pass-catching option, so don't be surprised if they are rarely involved in Week 11. Bates had three catches for 25 yards in last week's game when Seals-Jones went down with his hip injury. The 24-year-old has caught all five of his targets in nine games this year for only 36 yards. If anything, running back J.D. McKissic could be used more in the passing attack with Seals-Jones and Thomas both out.
