Rex Burkhead 2018 Player Outlook: In Line To Be An RB1 Sleeper
6 years agoNew England Patriots running back Rex Burkhead quietly put together a solid fantasy season in 2017. Despite missing six games due to injury, Burkhead finished the season with eight all-purpose touchdown on just 94 touches. New England used a first-round pick on rookie running back Sony Michel, which put a damper on Burkhead's 2018 outlook, but New England has shown that two running backs can be productive in their backfield in a given season. Burkhead is an excellent all-around running back who could return an RB1 season if he earns the majority of goal-line work in an offense that should be in scoring position plenty this year. Burkhead is a great target in fantasy drafts, especially for owners who go zero-RB.
