Rays Send Vidal Brujan To Minors
2 years agoThe Tampa Bay Rays optioned outfielder/second baseman Vidal Brujan to the minor leagues on Tuesday to make room for the return of outfielder Jose Siri (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list. The 25-year-old Dominican will bide his time on the farm until he gets another call up to Tampa. In his first 11 games of the season, Brujan was hitting .250 (5-for-20) with three RBI and five runs scored in 21 plate appearances for the Rays as a bench player. The biggest issue for Brujan is the fact that he doesn't really have a set position on the big-league roster, but his positional versatility is nice for the team in real life.
