Randall Cobb Designated To Return From Injured Reserve
3 years agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb (core) has been designated to return from Injured Reserve after having core muscle surgery around a month ago and was back at practice on Thursday. It's a surprise that Cobb is already back on the practice field, but it's also unlikely that he's activated from IR before Sunday night's game against the Minnesota Vikings. The Packers were the first team in the NFL to clinch a playoff spot, so they'll be hoping to get Cobb close to 100% for a deep playoff run in January. The 31-year-old veteran pass-catcher had 28 catches for 375 yards and five touchdowns on 39 targets in 12 games before his injury in his return to Green Bay this year. Marquez Valdes-Scantling is back from the COVID list, so he and Allen Lazard will battle for targets behind star wideout Davante Adams in Week 17.
