Rafael Devers Dealing With Undisclosed Injury
Rafael Devers (undisclosed) slowed down before getting to first base in the series finale against the New York Yankees on Sunday and was seen grimacing during the play. "He plays every day; obviously he's a DH, and there's certain things—nothing major—but stuff that we have to pay attention to," manager Alex Cora said. In his following at-bat on Sunday, Devers hit a 393-foot home run in the ninth inning, so the injury obviously isn't too serious. However, it's something to keep an eye on, and it could cause Cora to give the 28-year-old a rest day coming up. Devers told Cora that he was "doing OK." He has played in all 68 games in 2025, so it's probably time for his first day off of the season. The Dominican infielder has been solid in his full-time move to DH this year and is slashing .280/.409/.516 with a .925 OPS, 14 homers, 57 RBI and 45 runs scored.
