Colorado Avalanche goaltender Philipp Grubauer stopped 14-of-14 shots on goal in Wednesday's 3-0 victory against the Arizona Coyotes in Game 1 of the Western Conference first round match-up between the two teams. Grubauer made two starts in the round-robin games prior to the first round, where the 28-year-old posted a record of 1-0-1 against the Golden Knights and Blues. Avalanche forwards Nazem Kadri, J.T. Compher and Mikko Rantanen all scored within two minutes of each other in the third period, while Kadri and Compher found the back of the net 10 seconds apart to break the scoreless tie. Coyotes goaltender Darcy Kuemper made 37 saves in the loss, while stopping 35-of-37 shots on even-strength. Game 2 is set to take place on Friday afternoon, with the same goalies projected to be in-between the pipes after solid Game 1 performances.--Denis Vondrus - RotoBaller
