Philip Rivers Not Worried About Contract
Philip Rivers said he has no problem playing out the final year of his current deal in 2019. "I really have no goal, or see it playing a certain way. I really don’t. I’m very at peace with where it is right now. I’m under contract this season and I’m excited for this team and our opportunities," Rivers said. He has thrown 122 touchdowns since signing a four-year, $83.25 million deal in 2015. Despite his age, Rivers remains a strong and underrated QB1 with plenty of weapons around him. The Chargers will still probably reach an extension before Rivers hits the open market next spring.
