6 months agoNew York Mets first baseman Peter Alonso seems to be running away with April's Rookie of the Month Award and he proved why once again Thursday night at SunTrust Park. Taking on the Atlanta Braves, Alonso recorded two hits and a walk, but it was his monster two-run home run that made the most impact. The blast, measured at 454 feet, increased New York's lead to four runs, where it would remain through the end of the game. The 24-year-old continues to lead MLB rookies in all major hitting categories, now hitting .378 with six home runs and 17 RBI.--Ricky Delgado - RotoBaller
