Patriots Defense Rolls Over Redskins
5 years agoThe New England Patriots Defense recorded six sacks one interception and one fumble recovery as the Patriots cruised past the hapless Redskins 33-7. The defense was on its heels in the first quarter after Redskins wide receiver Steven Sims took an end-around 65 yards for a touchdown. But the good times did not roll for Washington as the Patriots defense took firm control from there. The unit held quarterback Colt McCoy to only 119 yards passing and continues to look like the best defense in the NFL. The Patriots defense will have a quick turnaround in Week 6 as they immediately begin to prepare for the Giants this coming Thursday night.
