3 years agoThe Carolina Panthers activated running back Christian McCaffrey (hamstring) from Injured Reserve on Saturday with hopes that he'll play in Week 9 against the New England Patriots. McCaffrey will go through a pre-game workout just to be sure. It's great news that McCaffrey is coming off IR after being out since Week 3, but now the question becomes: How much does he play if the Panthers are comfortable throwing him out there this weekend? McCaffrey just hasn't been able to stay healthy the last two seasons, so it wouldn't be a surprise at all to see them limit his snaps on Sunday against the Patriots, which doesn't necessarily make him a must-start if he's active. Rookie Chuba Hubbard has done a nice job filling in with McCaffrey injured, and he figures to see most of the backfield work as the Panthers ease McCaffrey back in.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
