5 days agoAkshay Bhatia missed the cut at last week's Charles Schwab Challenge, marking his second straight missed cut. Before his missed cut at the PGA Championship two weeks ago, Bhatia had made the cut in five straight tournaments, achieving three top-20 finishes and one win during that same period. Bhatia played in this event last year but finished T68. Considering his recent struggles, Bhatia may be difficult to trust in DFS lineups this week.Source: Data Golf
5 days agoTom Kim tied for 24th at last week's Charles Schwab Challenge and tied for 26th at the PGA Championship two weeks ago. He has only missed two cuts in the 14 tournaments he has played during the 2024 season. This year will mark Kim's debut at the RBC Canadian Open, and considering he hasn't missed a cut since April at the Valero Texas Open, he's in fine form. Over the last 12 months, Kim has been one of the top players for greens in regulation percentage on approach shots from 100-150 yards in the fairway, ranking in the 88th percentile. Although Kim has yet to play in this event, his recent form makes him worth considering for DFS lineups this week.Source: Data Golf
5 days agoMaverick McNealy is making his second appearance at the RBC Canadian Open. He missed the cut in his debut appearance last year. McNealy has had a solid 2024 season so far with two top-10 finishes and three top-25 finishes. He finished tied for 17th at last week's Charles Schwab Challenge and tied for 23rd two weeks ago at the PGA Championship. Considering McNealy's recent surge in form, he's worth considering for DFS lineups this week.Source: Data Golf
5 days agoAlex Noren is competing in the RBC Canadian Open this week after finishing tied for 12th at the PGA Championship two weeks ago. Noren has been in excellent form this season, not missing a cut in the 12 tournaments he has played. He has achieved eight straight top-25 finishes, including two top-10 finishes. The last time Noren played in the RBC Canadian Open was in 2019 at Hamilton Golf and Country Club, where he finished T63. Noren could be a valuable addition to DFS lineups this week considering his recent form.Source: Data Golf
5 days agoRory McIlroy is set to compete in the RBC Canadian Open this week after his last appearance at the PGA Championship two weeks ago, where he finished tied for 12th. Over the past six weeks, McIlroy has been in great form, achieving two wins and three top-25 finishes. His previous performances at this tournament have been impressive, with a tie for ninth place last year and a championship win in 2022. Given his excellent form and past success at this event, McIlroy could be a valuable addition to DFS lineups this week.Source: Data Golf
5 days agoFor everything Keith Mitchell has done well ball-striking-wise--and he's done a lot--horrendous putting has negated a thick majority of it. He currently ranks 7th on the year in strokes gained off the tee (+0.795) and 11th in strokes gained on approach (+0.597), but, the flipside is a 154th ranking in strokes gained putting (-0.383) and 129th in strokes gained around the green (-0.158). Many times, these stats can be a bit skewed one way or the other from a run of good or bad play, but in Killa Keith's case, things have been this way all season. The tools are all there for him to have a great week tee to green, but what comes after is a huge question mark that warrants a second thought at $10,500 on FanDuel.Source: PGA Tour
5 days agoIt was an abysmal outing on the greens at the PGA Championship for Sam Burns. The former LSU Tiger lost five shots with the putter through rounds one and two--his worst putting performance since November 2022. It's hard to imagine we see the same struggles on the greens at Hamilton Golf and Country Club, and the strokes gained on approach numbers have only risen over his last three starts. When firing on all cylinders, Burns has enough pizazz to make a ton of birdies (3rd in birdie average: 4.54) and has had spurts of accurate play off the tee. With a $10,700 price tag on FanDuel, he isn't a must-play by any means. However, there is value here in the right lineups.Source: Data Golf

1 week agoTwo-time PGA Tour winner Grayson Murray passed away Saturday morning at the age of 30. Murray was competing in this week's Charles Schwab Challenge but withdrew late into his second round on Friday, citing an illness. Murray was a prodigious talent who was open about his struggles with depression, anxiety, and addiction. He won on the PGA Tour at just 22 years old in 2017 but struggled to stay consistent and found himself on the Korn Ferry Tour for the 2023 season, where he won twice last year. Murray appeared to have turned a corner both on and off the golf course when he was once again victorious on the PGA Tour at the Sony Open earlier this year. No details surrounding his cause of death have been made available at this time.Source: PGA Tour
2 weeks agoSi Woo Kim missed the cut for the first time in the 2024 season at last week's PGA Championship. However, before missing the cut, Kim had achieved three straight top-20 finishes and six top-20 finishes in his previous seven tournaments. Kim will try and bounce back when he competes at the Colonial Country Club for the Charles Schwab Challenge. It's worth noting that over the previous 12 months, Kim ranks in the 92nd percentile in proximity to the hole on approach shots from over 150 yards in the rough. This is significant because at last year's tournament, over 57% of approach shots came from this distance. Despite missing the cut last week, Kim is worth considering for DFS lineups this week.Source: Data Golf
2 weeks agoNicolai Højgaard finished tied for 68th at last week's PGA Championship after posting a disappointing 73 in the final round. Højgaard has performed well in major championships this season, finishing tied for 16th at the Masters Tournament in April. This week, Højgaard will make his first appearance at the Charles Schwab Challenge when he tees it up at Colonial Country Club. It's worth noting that over the previous 12 months, Højgaard ranked in the 20th percentile in proximity to the hole on approach shots from over 150 yards in the rough, and at last year's tournament, over 57% of approach shots came from this distance. If Højgaard can replicate his strong iron play from the Masters Tournament, he could be a valuable addition to DFS lineups this week.Source: Data Golf
2 weeks agoHarry Hall finished tied for 40th at the Myrtle Beach Classic two weeks ago and is set to compete in the Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial Country Club for the second time. Last year, he finished tied for third at this event and has only missed the cut once in his last six tournaments. Despite his strong performance last year, it's important to note that over the past 12 months, Hall's greens in regulation percentage on approach shots from over 150 yards in the rough ranked in the 20th percentile. This is significant because over 57% of approach shots at last year's tournament came from this distance. Taking into account Hall's recent form and his performance at last year's tournament, he may be a viable option to consider for DFS lineups this week.Source: Data Golf
2 weeks agoGrayson Murray finished T43 at last week's PGA Championship, marking his fourth straight made cut. Murray is rounding into form as he prepares to tee it up for this week's Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial Hill Country Club. This will be Murray's first appearance at Colonial since 2018, when he played in the Fort Worth Invitational. Over the previous 12 months, Murray has ranked in the 82nd percentile in proximity to the hole on approach shots from over 150 yards in the rough. This is important to note because at last year's Charles Schwab Challenge, over 57% of approach shots came from this distance. Murray has been playing steady golf as of late, but including him in DFS lineups carries some risk.Source: Data Golf
2 weeks agoGarrick Higgo is returning to action after missing last week's PGA Championship. Higgo has struggled with consistency this year and has missed the cut in three of his last four appearances. He will be playing at the Colonial Country Club for this week's Charles Schwab Challenge. Higgo has not had much success in his previous appearances at this tournament, missing the cut in both 2023 and 2022. It's important to note that over the past 12 months, Higgo ranks in the 39th percentile in proximity to the hole on approach shots from over 150 yards in the rough. This is significant because over 57% of approach shots came from this distance at last year's tournament. Higgo's inconsistency and recent form suggest that including him in DFS lineups this week comes with considerable risk.Source: Data Golf
2 weeks agoScottie Scheffler tied for eighth at last week's PGA Championship after shooting a disappointing 73 in Round 3. Following a busy week at Valhalla Golf Club, Scheffler is now gearing up to play at Colonial Country Club for this week's Charles Schwab Challenge. Scheffler has a strong track record at this event, finishing tied for third in 2023 and second in 2022. Over the past 12 months, Scheffler ranks in the 87th percentile in proximity to the hole on approach shots from over 150 yards in the rough. This is significant because over 57% of approach shots at last year's tournament came from this distance. Considering his recent form and past performances at this tournament, Scheffler could be a valuable addition to DFS lineups this week.Source: Data Golf
