Ranger Suarez Exits Early After Being Hit With Comebacker
7 months agoPhiladelphia Phillies left-hander Ranger Suarez (hand) was removed from Saturday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals after being struck in the left hand by a comebacker. He is undergoing further evaluation after exiting early with a left-hand contusion. The 28-year-old struck out two over two scoreless innings before leaving. He is considered day-to-day and is expected to have x-rays once Saturday's game is over. Suarez has been terrific this season, owning a (9-1) record with a 1.70 ERA, 0.80 WHIP, and 79 strikeouts over 74 innings. He is considered day-to-day and is questionable for his next start Saturday against the New York Mets. Stay tuned for more updates.
