7 months agoDaniel Hemric appeared to have a decent race car heading into Gateway on Sunday. However, his qualifying effort in the Kaulig Racing car was a bit underwhelming. As a result, the driver in the No. 16 will begin 28th on Sunday. Even worse were his practice numbers where his best lap was 29th. His lap averages were outside the Top 30. A problem for the Kaulig cars seems to be late-run speed again. They bleed tenths of a season after Lap 15 of their runs. It only gets worse 30 or more laps out. It appears the speed found at Dover is more or less a distant memory.--Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
