Tommy Fleetwood Eyeing First Tour Victory At RBC Canadian Open
7 months agoTommy Fleetwood heads to Hamilton Golf and Country Club seeking his first PGA Tour victory. The 33-year old Brit does have eight international victories to his name, including earlier this year at the Dubai Invitational, and he's certainly been knocking on the door over the past several months. He's only missed one cut in 10 Tour starts this year, with three finishes inside of the top-10, including a T3 showing at the Masters. Fleetwood also apparently has an affinity for the RBC Canadian Open, as he finished in sixth place in 2018's event and runner-up in 2023's rendition. His game should translate well at Hamilton, as he ranks inside of the top-10 in a number of key statistical categories over the last 24 rounds, including driving accuracy, fairways gained, scrambling, bogey avoidance, and par 4 scoring. A spike putting week could put Fleetwood in the driver's seat heading down the stretch on Sunday.
