Isiah Pacheco An Appealing Fantasy Play In Divisional Round
2 weeks agoKansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco had one of his best games of the season the last time the Chiefs took on the Jacksonville Jaguars, carrying the ball 16 times for 82 yards, his third-best yardage total of the 2022 season. He'll get another chance against the Jags on Saturday when the two sides meet in the divisional round. Pacheco ended the regular season on a good note, finding the end zone in both Week 17 and Week 18. Pacheco is an appealing DFS play on Saturday, especially considering he's just the eighth-most expensive running back on the DraftKings slate. He probably needs a touchdown to fully pay off, but his recent scoring streak increases the appeal here.Source: Pro Football Reference
Patrick Mahomes Should Be Top Play In Divisional Round
2 weeks agoKansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes should be viewed as a top DFS play for Saturday's meeting with the Jacksonville Jaguars. When these two teams met during the regular season, Mahomes was almost unstoppable, going 26-for-25 for 331 yards and four touchdowns, plus adding 39 yards on the ground. The one big blemish that day was an interception. There are a lot of talented quarterbacks playing this weekend, but on paper, Mahomes has the best matchup of those players, making him the top overall play at his position. If you're going to pay up for a quarterback in DFS, it would make sense if that QB was Mahomes.Source: Pro Football Reference
Giants Defense Face Stiff Test In The Divisional Round
2 weeks agoThe defense of the New York Giants faces a stiff test in Saturday's Divisional Round showdown against the Philadelphia Eagles. While the Giants failed to record a sack in last week's win over the Minnesota Vikings, they did sack Jalen Hurts three times in Week 18. That being said, New York's defense has given up a combined 70 points in its two meetings against Philadelphia this season. Unless you believe the Giants can generate consistent pressure on Hurts and force a couple of turnovers on Saturday, there are likely better options in DFS this weekend.Source: Pro Football Reference
Graham Gano A Decent Option In Divisional Round Matchup
2 weeks agoNew York Giants kicker Graham Gano is a decent option in Saturday's Divisional Round matchup versus the Philadelphia Eagles. The experienced kicker made all four of his extra-point tries and his lone field-goal attempt in last week's win over the Minnesota Vikings. While the 35-year-old kicker has made just one field goal in two meetings against the Eagles this season, he's made eight straight field goals and the Giants should have a decent number of scoring opportunities on Saturday.Source: Pro Football Reference
Daniel Bellinger A Risky Option In The Divisional Round
2 weeks agoNew York Giants tight end Daniel Bellinger is a risky option in Saturday's Divisional Round game against the Philadelphia Eagles. The first-year tight end caught two passes for 17 yards and a touchdown in last week's Wild Card victory versus the Minnesota Vikings. Despite scoring a touchdown last week, the 22-year-old tight end hasn't had more than 42 receiving yards in a game this season and he's had fewer than five targets in five consecutive games. The Eagles are also one of six teams this season that allowed fewer than four receiving touchdowns to TEs, making Bellinger a risky play this weekend.Source: Pro Football Reference
Richie James Could Surprise In Divisional Round Matchup
2 weeks agoNew York Giants wide receiver Richie James could be a surprising option in Saturday's Divisional Round bout against the Philadelphia Eagles. The veteran wideout caught four of his targets for only 31 yards in last week's win over the Minnesota Vikings. That being said, the former seventh-round pick has garnered five-plus targets in five straight games for the Giants. While the Eagles allowed the eighth-fewest points per game to WRs, they gave up the 17th most points per game to slot WRs, which is where James spends most of his snaps. He also recorded seven receptions for 61 yards and a touchdown in Week 14 versus the Eagles.Source: Pro Football Reference
Isaiah Hodgins A Solid Option In The Divisional Round
2 weeks agoNew York Giants wide receiver Isaiah Hodgins is a solid option in Saturday's Divisional Round matchup versus the Philadelphia Eagles. The former sixth-round pick led the way for the Giants with eight receptions for 105 yards and a touchdown on nine targets in last week's victory over the Minnesota Vikings. The 24-year-old is emerging as the No. 1 target for Daniel Jones and he's found the end zone in five of his last six games, including a touchdown in the Week 14 loss to the Eagles. Even though it's hard to trust him to continue scoring touchdowns, Hodgins has received 26 targets in his last three games, making him a decent choice in DFS.Source: Pro Football Reference
Darius Slayton A Boom-Or-Bust Option In Divisional Round
2 weeks agoNew York Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton is a boom-or-bust option in Saturday's Divisional Round bout against the Philadelphia Eagles. The big-play wideout caught four passes for 88 yards in last week's win versus the Minnesota Vikings, but he's only scored two touchdowns all season. On top of that, he's yet to eclipse 100 receiving yards in a game this season. Unless Slayton can haul in a long touchdown pass from Daniel Jones on Saturday, he's nothing more than a risky GPP option in DFS against an Eagles team that allowed the eighth-fewest points per game to WRs in the regular season.Source: Pro Football Reference
Saquon Barkley Remains Fantastic Option In The Divisional Round
2 weeks agoNew York Giants running back Saquon Barkley remains a fantastic option in Saturday's Divisional Round matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles. The electric back tied his season low with nine rushing attempts in last week's win over the Minnesota Vikings, but he still managed to record 53 rushing yards and two touchdowns while catching five passes for 56 yards. After getting fewer touches than expected in the Wild Card win, the superstar back for the Giants should get plenty of opportunities on Saturday. Barkley has scored a touchdown in five of his last seven games and he's poised to score another against the Eagles.Source: Pro Football Reference
Daniel Jones A Decent Option In Divisional Round Matchup
2 weeks agoNew York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones is a decent option in Saturday's Divisional Round matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles. The dual-threat quarterback threw for 301 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for 78 yards on 17 attempts in last week's Wild Card win over the Minnesota Vikings. While the Eagles have a much better defense than the Vikings, the former first-round pick does provide a solid floor with his consistent usage in the running game. Even though it's tough to trust Jones' passing production, his rushing upside makes him a nice GPP option in DFS this weekend.Source: Pro Football Reference
49ers Defense Faces High-Octane Offense
2 weeks agoThe San Francisco 49ers defensive unit will have its hands full trying to contain the Dallas Cowboys, the No. 4 scoring offense, in the Divisional Round. The Cowboys' high-octane offense joins some of the most talented players at wide receiver, tight end, and running back with a strong offensive line and an above-average quarterback. They averaged 358.8 yards and 27.7 points per game during the regular season. Dallas is allowing the fourth-fewest sacks per game. Dak Prescott did lead the league in interceptions thrown, so the 49ers have a good opportunity to get some takeaways.Source: NFL.com
Robbie Gould A Quality Start In Divisional Round
2 weeks agoSan Francisco 49ers kicker Robbie Gould is a quality starter in the Divisional Round against the Dallas Cowboys. With the Niners having scored over 30 points in each of the past four games, Gould has made a field goal in all of those and multiple field goals in three of them. The 40-year-old has also made 98.0% of the extra-points he has attempted, the highest percentage of any kicker who made the playoffs, while he tied Cowboys kicker Brett Maher for second in the NFL with 50 extra-points made.Source: NFL.com
George Kittle Faces Tough Matchup In Divisional Round
2 weeks agoSan Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle has a tough matchup in the Divisional Round against the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys allowed the sixth-fewest yards and third-fewest fantasy points to tight ends in the regular season. Niners QB Brock Purdy will face his toughest test, an intense defense that ranked third in sacks. If Purdy is under pressure, it could positively and negatively affect Kittle's production. The San Francisco offense will likely have more trouble moving the ball than they did against Seattle. But Kittle might be a bigger part of the offense. When Purdy was under pressure against the Commanders, he targeted Kittle eight times, and Kittle caught six passes for 120 yards and two touchdowns. There might be tight ends with better matchups available at better values this weekend, but Kittle has enough talent he is a viable option.Source: NFL.com
Brandon Aiyuk A Risky Start In Divisional Round
2 weeks agoSan Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk has a risky matchup against the Dallas Cowboys in the Divisional Round of the playoffs. Even against lesser defenses, the Cardinals and Seahawks, in the past two weeks, Aiyuk only saw five looks in each game and gained 59 yards and 73 yards, respectively. The chances are he will produce less than that against the Cowboys, who will be the toughest defense Niners QB Brock Purdy has yet faced. The Cowboys only allow the eighth-fewest passing yards per game and the seventh-fewest per pass, while applying pressure to the tune of 54 sacks, the third-most. As a deeper target than Deebo Samuel, Christian McCaffrey, and George Kittle, Aiyuk will suffer the most if Purdy has to rush his throws.Source: NFL.com
Deebo Samuel A High-Upside Pick For Divisional Round
2 weeks agoSan Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel has a high-upside matchup against a Dallas Cowboys team that has given up more touchdowns to opposing wide receivers than any team in the regular season. Samuel has had a down year, scoring just five total touchdowns, but two have come in his past three games. The 26-year-old can always break away and take it to the house. The Cowboys have a tougher defense than any Niners QB Brock Purdy has faced this season. They are good at bringing pressure, ranking fourth in sacks. But Samuel is insulated from possible Niners' offensive struggles because of his dual-threat usage. If San Fran cannot get anything going, they may look to quick passes and exotic packages, in which Samuel excels.Source: NFL.com
