Ladd McConkey Injured In Productive Week 13 Outing
Ladd McConkey (knee) caught nine of 11 targets for 117 yards before exiting during the fourth quarter of Sunday's Week 13 win over the Atlanta Falcons. McConkey was seen limping repeatedly throughout the game, and the injury evidently worsened enough that the rookie needed to depart the contest in the final quarter. The Chargers listed McConkey as questionable to return, but he ultimately stayed on the sideline for the rest of the game. He has been one of the NFL's most productive rookie receivers this season, catching 58 passes for 815 yards and four touchdowns. He'll rank as a WR2 in Week 14 against the Kansas City Chiefs, but only if he's healthy enough to play. Fantasy managers should monitor his status on the Chargers' injury reports next week.Source: Daniel Popper
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver DJ Chark Active For Week 13
DJ Chark is officially active for Week 13 against the Atlanta Falcons. This is noteworthy given that Chark missed the early portion of the season due to a hip injury and has been a healthy scratch on numerous occasions since being activated from injured reserve. In fact, he has only been on the field for one offensive snap this season and has failed to log a target. Moving forward, he remains buried behind Ladd McConkey, Josh Palmer, Quentin Johnston, and Jalen Reagor on the depth chart.Source: Los Angeles Chargers
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Kimani Vidal Should Be Back On The Field In Week 13
Kimani Vidal should be back on the field in a Week 13 game against the Atlanta Falcons. Vidal has been inactive since Week 9, but with J.K. Dobbins (knee) heading to IR, Vidal should at least play a small role going forward. He has the talent to overtake the veterans currently ahead of him, Gus Edwards and Hassan Haskins. The Chargers will probably give the reins to Edwards this week, but Vidal is worth stashing for the fantasy playoffs.Source: RotoBaller
Los Angeles Chargers rookie running back J.K. Dobbins Lands On The Injured Reserve List
J.K. Dobbins (knee) was placed on the Injured Reserve list on Saturday. The 25-year-old has played well in his first season in Los Angeles, totaling 766 yards and eight touchdowns off 158 carries, adding 28 catches for 134 yards. Even better, he had stayed healthy, which was different from his time with the Baltimore Ravens. Unfortunately, Dobbins finds himself back in familiar territory and will get put back on the shelf because of an MCL sprain. Without him, Gus Edwards, who had a touchdown on Monday night against the Ravens, his former team, is at least a flex option for Sunday's matchup with the Falcons, especially since Hassan Haskins may not get much work.Source: Tom Pelissero
Los Angeles Chargers running back Will Dissly Off Injury Report, Will Play Sunday
Will Dissly (groin) upgraded to a full participant in practice on Friday. He has been removed from the injury report and cleared to play against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 13. Dissly has delivered solid production over the last six weeks, catching 28 passes for 288 yards and one touchdown during that span. Since Week 7, he ranks as the overall TE12 in PPR leagues. Fantasy managers should continue to deploy him as a fringe top-12 option this week against the Falcons, who have been near the middle of the road with the 14th-most fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends in 2024.Source: Los Angeles Chargers
Los Angeles Chargers tight end Chargers Defense Looking To Get Back On Track In Week 13
Source: RotoBaller
The Los Angeles Chargers defense will look to get back on track in a Week 13 road game against the Atlanta Falcons. The Chargers defense has been one of the best units in the NFL both in fantasy and on the field, but they've hit a bit of a slump over the past three weeks, putting up a total of just 11 points in the three games. They bottomed out with a zero-point performance last week against the Ravens. The Falcons provide a better matchup though, and could be a good way for the Bolts to get back on track. They're in the bottom half of the DST1 ranks but could end up higher than that.Cameron Dicker Once Again A Strong Choice For Week 13
Cameron Dicker is once again an excellent fantasy option in Week 13 lineups when the Chargers face the Atlanta Falcons. Dicker has been consistent with nice upside all season, scoring nine or more fantasy points in six of the past seven games. Kicker is always fantasy's most unpredictable position, but Dicker has been as close to a K1 lock as can be, and should be right back in that ranking this week.Source: RotoBaller
Los Angeles Chargers kicker Joshua Palmer Looks To Maintain A Bigger Role In Week 13
Joshua Palmer played his biggest role in a Week 12 loss to the Baltimore Ravens and will try to maintain that role in Week 13 when the Bolts face the Atlanta Falcons. In Week 12, Palmer set season highs in snap percentage (83%) and targets (eight). He was only able to turn that into three catches for 38 yards, but the higher usage was certainly encouraging. In Week 13, he will face a Falcons defense that has struggled against opposing wide receivers. With starting running back J.K. Dobbins (knee) out for the game, the Chargers may rely more on the passing game, giving Palmer a similar workload as last week. He has a low floor, but a moderately decent ceiling compared to others ranked in the WR4/5 neighborhood.Source: RotoBaller
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Quentin Johnston Looks For A Bounce-Back Game In Week 13
Quentin Johnston had a horrendous game in Week 12, returning to the cinder block hands issues that plagued him his rookie season. He should still be involved in a Week 13 game against the Atlanta Falcons and may have a chance to redeem himself for the atrocious performance. Johnston does well against two-high secondaries, which the Falcons employ. Against outside receivers like Johnston, they have allowed the second-most yards per game and fantasy points since Week 7. There's a low floor but a rather high ceiling for "QJ" in this game, evening him out somewhere in the WR3/4 range for the week.Source: RotoBaller
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Ladd McConkey Has A Good Week 13 Matchup
Ladd McConkey should have another good game in a Week 13 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. McConkey has been a top-20 fantasy wide receiver in four of his last eight games and is the overall WR31 this season. He's been putting up solid catch and yard numbers consistently, but hasn't scored a touchdown since Week 8 and has only seen two red zone targets in the last five Chargers games. This week, he'll go up against a Falcons secondary that has been below average against wide receivers all season. He should be a solid WR2 option with upside if he gets more involved in the red zone again.Source: RotoBaller
Los Angeles Chargers rookie wide receiver Hassan Haskins Could Have Fantasy Value In Week 13
Hassan Haskins could have some sneaky fantasy value in a Week 13 game against the Atlanta Falcons. With starter J.K. Dobbins (knee) out for this week, Haskins should mix in with fellow running backs Gus Edwards and Kimani Vidal. Last week, after Dobbins was forced to leave the game, Edwards played most of the early downs and Haskins played passing downs and red zone situations. Assuming Vidal is active this week, which he should be, he'll likely eat into Haskins' role, but both could still end up with some solid fantasy production especially in PPR leagues. Haskins is available for free in almost every league right now.Source: RotoBaller
Los Angeles Chargers running back Gus Edwards Likely To Start In Week 13
Gus Edwards is expected to get the start in a Week 13 game against the Atlanta Falcons. Edwards spent some time on IR this season, but even when healthy, he's played mostly a depth role behind starter J.K. Dobbins (knee). With Dobbins out this week though, Edwards should get bumped up to the starting role, at least on clear rushing downs. He's not a factor in the passing game, so his usage will be somewhat game script dependent, and he may need to find the end zone in order to put up a significant fantasy score. Last week, after Dobbins was injured, Edwards played a lot of early downs, but Hassan Haskins was in for passing plays and red zone drives. Edwards is a risky play with a somewhat high floor but not a high ceiling.Source: RotoBaller
Los Angeles Chargers running back Justin Herbert Set For A Good Game In Week 13
Justin Herbert is set for a good matchup in a Week 13 game against the Atlanta Falcons. Herbert ended up as the overall fantasy QB12 last week against the Ravens, giving him five straight QB1 finishes. This week is another good matchup against a Falcons defense that has allowed the eighth-most points to opposing quarterbacks. With starting running back J.K. Dobbins (knee) out for this game, the Chargers offense will likely rely on Herbert's arm a bit more, but we may see him work in a few more rushing attempts as well. All in all, Herbert is shaping up as a top-half QB1 this week.Source: RotoBaller
Los Angeles Chargers quarterback J.K. Dobbins Officially Ruled Out For Week 13
J.K. Dobbins (knee) has officially been ruled out for Week 13's contest against the hosting Atlanta Falcons on Sunday after he was unable to practice all week. Dobbins sprained his left MCL in the Monday night loss to the Baltimore Ravens, so it's not a surprise that he won't be available this weekend. Depending on how he recovers, fantasy managers could be without LA's lead back again next week when the Chargers head on the road to Kansas City to take on the division-rival Chiefs for the second time this year. The Bolts will likely play it safe with Dobbins, considering his lengthy injury history. With Dobbins out this Sunday, Gus Edwards should lead the LA backfield in touches, with rookie Kimani Vidal and Hassan Haskins battling for change-of-pace work. Fantasy managers should view Edwards as a touchdown-dependent RB3/flex this week.Source: Los Angeles Chargers
Los Angeles Chargers running back Will Dissly Logs Limited Practice Thursday
Will Dissly (groin) upgraded to a limited participant in practice on Thursday. He had been a non-participant Wednesday. Dissly has played quite well lately, catching 13 passes for 157 yards and one touchdown over his last three games. Fantasy managers invested in Dissly's status should check back on Friday to see if he ends up with any sort of injury designation. At the very least, he's trending in the right direction and ranks as a mid-to-high fantasy TE2 for the time being.Source: Los Angeles Chargers
