Laviska Shenault Jr. Signing With Chargers
Laviska Shenault Jr. to their practice squad on Thursday. Shenault was waived by the Seattle Seahawks on Monday, so it didn't take him long to find a new home. The former second-round pick was been quiet this season with five receptions for 36 yards in 11 games. He hasn't done much in the league since his first two seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars. This was likely just a move to add experienced depth to their roster. In a corresponding move, fellow wideout Dez Fitzpatrick has been cut from the practice squad. The former fourth-round pick has five receptions for 49 yards over the course of his first three professional seasons. He'll look to catch on elsewhere as depth going forward.Source: Los Angeles Chargers
The Los Angeles Chargers added free-agent wide receiver Ladd McConkey Stays Limited On Thursday
Ladd McConkey (knee, shoulder) remained a limited participant in the team's second practice of the week on Thursday. The Chargers said earlier this week that McConkey's status could be up in the air for the Week 14 Sunday night showdown against the division-rival Kansas City Chiefs after he was injured late in the Week 13 win over the Atlanta Falcons. However, the fact that the 23-year-old second-rounder has practiced two days in a row this week is encouraging, although he could still draw a questionable tag by Friday. If McConkey is on the right side of questionable, fantasy managers should probably stick with him in fantasy lineups, as he's been a must-start wideout in his first NFL season. McConkey is coming off his second 100-yard game this year and is the Chargers' clear WR1.Source: Los Angeles Chargers
Los Angeles Chargers rookie wide receiver Ladd McConkey Limited Wednesday

Chargers Expect Ladd McConkey To Practice On Wednesday
Ladd McConkey (knee) to practice on Wednesday. This is certainly excellent news for fantasy managers after a report surfaced earlier on Wednesday that McConkey's status for Week 14 on Sunday night against the division-rival Kansas City Chiefs was in question after he injured his knee late in Sunday's win over the Atlanta Falcons. Before injuring his knee in Week 13, the 23-year-old second-round wideout was LA's offense, going for nine catches on 12 targets for 117 yards on the day. The fact that the Georgia product is set to practice on Wednesday is a great sign, but we'll keep a close eye on his status the rest of the week. If McConkey is active on Sunday evening, he'll be a must-start for fantasy managers as quarterback Justin Herbert's go-to target through the air.Source: The Athletic - Daniel Popper
Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh said he expects rookie wide receiver Ladd McConkey's Status "In Doubt" For Week 14
Ladd McConkey (shoulder, knee) is in doubt for Sunday's AFC West Divisional showdown against the Kansas City Chiefs. According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, McConkey is dealing with an AC joint sprain in his shoulder and a knee sprain. The 23-year-old exited Sunday's contest late against the Atlanta Falcons with a knee injury and did not return. He is having a terrific rookie season so far, with 58 catches on 81 targets for 815 yards and four touchdowns over 12 games. It's unclear whether McConkey will suit up against the Chiefs and is considered day-to-day. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor McConkey's practice status throughout the week. If McConkey is unable to suit up, Quentin Johnston, DJ Chark, and Joshua Palmer should see an increase in target shares.Source: Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network
Los Angeles Chargers rookie wide receiver Chargers Have No Plans To Get DJ Chark Involved
DJ Chark has been active for just two games this season, and he has not recorded a target. The former 1,000-yard receiver has reportedly struggled to make an impact with his fourth NFL team and is unlikely to see an upgrade in his role down the stretch. "Some guys are playing better than him," head coach Jim Harbaugh said. "It's a meritocracy out there." Chark was a second-round pick by the Jaguars in 2018 and has recorded at least 500 yards in each season of his career in which he played at least five games. However, any deep-league fantasy managers holding onto him can let him go, though he might be worth holding in dynasty setups since he will be a 28-year-old free agent this offseason.Source: The Athletic

Chargers Defense Has A Huge Week 13
Source: ESPN.com
The Los Angeles Chargers defense had an excellent game in a Week 13 win over the Atlanta Falcons. The Bolts scored a defensive touchdown on a pick-six, one of four interceptions they recorded in a dominant performance. Tarheeb Still made two picks and scored the touchdown, and Marcus Maye and Derwin James had one pick each. The defense also recorded one sack for an 11-yard loss and allowed just 13 points, all good for a standard league fantasy score of 17. They're likely to land as the top scoring defense in fantasy leagues this week, but they have a harder challenge coming up in Week 14 against the Kansas City Chiefs.Cameron Dicker Makes Three Field Goals In A Week 13 Win
Cameron Dicker made all three of his field goal tries in a Week 13 win over the Atlanta Falcons. Dicker did not get a chance to attempt any extra points. His three field goals came from 45, 51, and 34 yards out. It was another solid and predictably consistent performance from one of the NFL's most reliable kickers. He should once again be near the top of the kicker ranks in Week 14 against the Kansas City Chiefs.Source: ESPN.com
Los Angeles Chargers kicker Will Dissly Puts Up A Zero In Week 13
Will Dissly put up a zero in a Week 13 win over the Atlanta Falcons. Dissly was on the injury report earlier in the week with a groin injury, but he practiced in full on Friday and came into the game with no injury designation. Still, he ended up with only one target thrown his way and was unable to make a catch on the play. The shutout was unexpected, as Dissly has been a high-floor tight end option most of the season, but the Chargers passing game went almost exclusively through Ladd McConkey. McConkey made nine catches while no one else on the Chargers made more than two. It was likely an anomaly, and as long as he's healthy, Dissly should return to his solid, reliable production next week against the Kansas City Chiefs.Source: ESPN.com
Los Angeles Chargers tight end Joshua Palmer Makes One Catch In A Week 13 Win
Joshua Palmer made just one catch in a Week 13 win over the Atlanta Falcons. Palmer saw just one target thrown his way and turned it into an 11-yard catch. Those 11 yards were good enough for third on the team in receiving yards in a game where the Chargers pass game focused in on rookie Ladd McConkey (knee). Palmer should see at least a few more targets next week against the Kansas City Chiefs, especially if McConkey is forced to miss time.Source: ESPN.com
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Quentin Johnston Makes Two Catches In Week 13
Quentin Johnston made two catches in a 17-13 Week 13 win over the Atlanta Falcons. Johnston was second on the team in targets with four, catches with two, and receiving yards with 12. It was the Ladd McConkey show (nine catches on 12 targets for 117 yards), so other Bolts relievers didn't get too many chances even though McConkey was forced to leave the game early with a knee injury. Johnston's role would obviously grow significantly if McConkey is forced to miss time, but he'll still be a risky fantasy option in Week 14 against the Kansas City Chiefs.Source: ESPN.com
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Kimani Vidal Gets Four Carries In A Week 13 Victory
Kimani Vidal recorded four carries in a Week 13 win over the Atlanta Falcons. Active for the first time since Week 8, Vidal played alongside nominal starter Gus Edwards with J.K. Dobbins (knee) on IR. Vidal ended up gaining 20 yards with his four carries, most of it on a solid 16-yard run. He wasn't targeted in the passing game. His role could grow as the Chargers will need some different looks out of the backfield next week against the Kansas City Chiefs.Source: ESPN.com
Los Angeles Chargers rookie running back Gus Edwards Gets Six Carries In A Week 13 Win
Gus Edwards carried the ball six times in a Week 13 win over the Atlanta Falcons. He gained 32 yards on the ground, with a long of 12 yards. In the passing game, he was targeted once, making a one-yard catch on the play. As expected, Edwards took the starting role in the backfield with J.K. Dobbins (knee) on IR, but the touches just weren't there, as the Bolts ran the ball only 17 times total, split between five different players. Edwards and the whole Chargers offense will likely need to do a lot more next week when they take on the division-leading Kansas City Chiefs.Source: ESPN.com
Los Angeles Chargers running back Justin Herbert Game Manages To A Week 13 Win
Justin Herbert game managed his way to a 17-13 win over the Atlanta Falcons in Week 13. Herbert didn't put up a strong fantasy performance despite a good matchup, but despite the close final score, the Chargers seemed mostly in control throughout the game. Herbert ended up attempting 23 passes, completing 16 of them for 147 yards. He took five sacks, losing 19 yards, but didn't throw any touchdowns or interceptions. On the ground, Herbert turned five "carries" into one total yard. The Bolts will face the Chiefs in Week 14, where Herbert will almost certainly have to do a lot more.Source: ESPN.com
