Optimism Surrounding Rob Gronkowski's Status
3 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronkowski (ribs) is considered a game-time decision on Sunday against the New Orleans Saints after missing the last four games. However, one source described optimism about his playing status, which would be a big lift for the Buccaneers and fantasy managers in Week 8. Gronk last played in a game on Sept. 26 against the Los Angeles Rams when he suffered a punctured lung and cracked ribs, but he practiced this week and has a good shot at returning to action. Fantasy managers obviously need to check the late-game inactives on Sunday, but if the 32-year-old is active, he'll be a firm TE1 play, especially with wide receiver Antonio Brown (ankle) missing his second straight game.
