Nolan Jones 2024 Fantasy Baseball Outlook: Great Expectations Heading Into 2024
12 months agoColorado Rockies outfielder Nolan Jones needed only 106 games to join the prestigious 20/20 club last season. He slashed .297/.389/.542 with 20 home runs, 60 runs, 62 RBI, 20 stolen bases, and a .884 OPS across 424 plate appearances. The 25-year-old excelled, especially down the stretch, with seven HRs, 23 runs and RBI, 12 steals, and a 1.112 OPS in September. This led many managers to a fantasy title and optimism to see what he could do in an entire season. Next year, Jones will be hitting third every day after Ezequiel Tovar, playing half his games in hitter-friendly Coors Field, so there are plenty of RBI chances in his future. He should be a mainstay in your daily lineup since he smacked as many home runs in 52 home games as in 54 away games. He's got the potential to crush his current FGDC projections of .265/.355/.465, 80 runs and RBI, 23 HR and 16 SB. Despite the high K-rate being a bit worrisome, he makes consistent and quality contact while being a menace on the base paths. If he stays healthy and picks up where he left off, he should push to become a 30/30 player and even the best outfielder on your squad. While Jones has massive upside, his current NFBC ADP is 55, almost 30 spots higher than RotoBaller's overall ranking of 84. However, the Guardians probably wish they could go back in time and hold onto Jones; don't share their regret by passing on him in your 2024 draft!
