Nolan Arenado Hits 11th Home Run
6 years agoColorado Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado knocked his 11th home run of the season on Tuesday, and he's quietly stalking the MVP frontrunners once again. Cody Bellinger and Christian Yelich are rightfully getting a ton of attention in the MVP race, but Arenado's cruising along behind them like a race horse waiting to make his move. Arenado's hitting .317 with 11 home runs and 25 RBI, and he's only striking out 11% of the time this year, the best rate of his career. He's still playing phenomenal defense, and he's just racking up another fantastic season. Expect him to remain in the background of the MVP conversation for the whole year, and if the lead horses falter at all, he should be right there at the end.
