5 years agoOakland Athletics manager Bob Melvin said there's no plan for a specific innings limit for starting pitchers Jesus Luzardo and A.J. Puk. Both Luzardo and Puk are top left-handed pitching prospects and have extremely high fantasy ceilings in the long term, but the A's are expected to limit their innings in 2020 eventually. Per MLB Pipeline, Luzardo is the team's top prospect, while Puk comes in at No. 2. They can both become high-end starters in Oakland's rotation down the road if they can stay healthy, but the upside will be limited if they are pitching in relief or have their innings capped this season. Because of the strikeout upside, they are still intriguing late in drafts this year, but they're still better dynasty assets in 2020.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
