Nick Solak Heating Up for Rangers
4 years agoTexas Rangers second baseman Nick Solak was the driving force behind the club's offense in Friday's 5-2 loss to the Baltimore Orioles. He went 2-for-3 and slugged a solo home run. The blast was his second homer in as many games. During that stretch, Solak is also 5-for-8 (.625). Overall, he's now hitting .275 with three home runs in 14 games. After struggling in his rookie season with an 86 wRC+, he's now up to 134 wRC+ in the small sample size of 2021. The 26-year-old entered the season as an intriguing sleeper and he appears to be getting ready to make good on those expectations although he has to improve his approach at the plate (2% BB rate, 33% K rate).
